I graduated from Dominican University (River Forest, IL) in 1997 with a B.A. in Communication Design and Fine Art. Since then I have maintained a studio arts practice.
Along with gallery representation, I've also displayed my work separately in group shows and museums in Midwest, as well as Florence, Italy.
In 2024 I became a member of the Nature Artists Guild of the Morton Arboretum and I look forward to exhibiting with them regularly.
Please be sure to check out my Instagram page on the "Social" link below, as I share the latest creations, news, and available works.
My primary interests are in capturing the landscape, nature, and in particular trees of Northern Illinois, as well as places I travel to. Occassionally my subject matter also includes architecture and cityscapes.
My work process is not limited to but includes working on location, from memory, imagination, photo reference or some combination of these in my studio.
I mostly prefer to work in Pen, India Ink, Watercolor, Pencil and Acrylic Paint using archival materials.
I'm looking forward to displaying three, never displayed artworks with the Nature Artists Guild. The "Spring Art Exhibit" will be at the Morton Arboretum April 4th-6th, 2025.
Please note admission to the Arborteum is required for non-members, but the exhibition is free.
