I graduated from Dominican University (River Forest, IL) in 1997 with a B.A. in Communication Design and Fine Art. Since then I have maintained a studio arts practice.
Along with gallery representation, I've also displayed my work separately in group shows and museums in the Midwest, as well as Florence, Italy.
In 2024 I left my long career as a Product Designer and Consultant in the Contract Furniture Industry to focus soley on painting and drawing.
Please be sure to check out my Instagram page on the "Social" link below, as I share the latest creations, upcoming exhibtions, and events I'm participating in.
My primary interests are in capturing the landscape, nature, and in particular trees of Northern Illinois, as well as places I travel to. Occassionally my subject matter also includes architecture and cityscapes.
My work process is not limited to but includes working on location, from memory, imagination, photo reference or some combination of these in my studio.
I mostly prefer to work in Acrylic Paint, Pen, India Ink, Watercolor and Pencil using archival materials.
